Umm Sulaim's Thoughts

Thoughts Lead To Appreciation

Turkey peaceful resistance in pictures – The Turkey military coup was one foiled by the citizens’ resolve.

In Ankara and Istanbul throughout the night of Friday 2016 July 15 until dawn of Saturday 2016 July 16, thousands of unarmed patriots took to the streets, some waving the Turkish flag, some others wearing a T-shirt of Turkish colours.

The majority of people discarded political affiliations to oppose, in unison, the armed coup that attempted to disrupt the elected civilian government of President Erdoğan.

I am inviting our Nation to go to the streets and airports to protect our democracy and national will.

This is an attempt against the national will. We are with the people and democracy to the last of our breath. We are calling for our Nation to protect their national will.

~>President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

The Turkish Nation’s response was a resounding endorsement for the President and civilian leadership.
