Umm Sulaim's Thoughts

Thoughts Lead To Appreciation

DAILY ELECTRICITY HOURS | Week 2

In the second week of review of energy distribution in Nigeria, with my home in Sokoto as a case study, the hours of power supply went above 12 hours only once out of seven days.

The daily average hours of electricity decreased in Week 2 to 11 hours and 12 minutes, well short of the 12 hours per day threshold.

Cumulative Average Daily supply of electricity for the second week of assessment is 11 hours 53 minutes.

That is an indication the number of energy available to my home per day has decreased since October 9, by 40 minutes.

Is an increase in power tariff justified?

Absolutely not.
