Thoughts Lead To Appreciation
200 girls and 93 women were rescued from Boko Haram torment in the afternoon of Tuesday April 28, 2015.
The women and girls are being screened by Nigerian military after our troops effected their rescue from Sambisa Forest in Borno State.
Obviously, it is expected that some of the women are consentually married to Boko Haram insurgents.
A good number of the freed women and girls, though, will be hostages, some seized as far back as four years ago.
Among the freed girls may be children abducted from their school in Chibok on the night of April 14, 2014.
In any case, 293 Nigerian women and girls are free.
That is a boost for women rights and freedoms in my beloved Nation.
FREEDOM is worth the wait.
FREEDOM deserves every iota of the effort.
How our troops achieved this feat without a massacre of the female hostages by their blood-thirsty captors amazes me.
Thank you Nigeria for the men and women whose confidence in this Nation keeps focussed on doing the right things the right way.
Interestingly, the Boko Haram public relations propagandist on Twitter has been silent for some hours.
Boko Haram or whatever they call self must be lonely tonight, for there are no more women and girls to rape tonight.
Perhaps, they will re-ration or resell the remaining women and girls in their custody to spread the sadist pleasure.
An insurgent with more than one forced marriage wife might be encouraged to be charitable with his abducted and bought wives.
In this phase of counter-insurgency, the Sambisa Forest Operation, our exceptional forces destroyed Tokumbere Camp as well as two other camps of Boko Haram.
The so-called Islamic State in Nigeria or West Africa as the delusions of ISIS claim is becoming a figment of their hallucinations.
I knew our military can do the job and do it well.
Thank you, every one of you.
The gallantry of our defenders departed from this world, forgotten it is not.
Thank you for showing cynics – Nigerians and foreigners – that Nigerian Armed Forces are the best.
Do not stop now.
Find Abubakar Muhammad Shekau.
Kill him if you have to do so.
Yes, his friends and supporters’ club will frown at that, but kill him.
