Insecurity: MURDER OF PROFESSOR AHMAD FALAKI

Disheartening is the murder in the name of security of Professor Ahmad Falaki in Fala village, Kano State.

And no, this is not just a village mentality issue.

Unless, of course, one concedes that the police, judiciary, prison service and yes, the almighty State Security Service are staffed by villagers, illiterates and street urchins ~almajirai.

I have repeatedly, through my publications, alerted law enforcement agencies of the destructive mentality that pervades this region.

In November of 2014, while many Nigerians caroused in the exploits of hunters and civilian Joint Task Force ~JTC against persons labelled as Boko Haram, I cautioned that innocent Nigerians were being murdered.

True to form, those highly retarded creatures have assassinated a renowned professor who happened to pass through the route earlier trod by insurgents.

Worse, officers of the Nigeria Police stood and watched as the insane mob stabbed the professor and his brother.

The sole consolation is that lynching of Nigerians under the guise of security has decreased.

Or has there merely been a news blackout on such extra-judicial murders?

Let us hope that is not the case, though a puzzle remains:

If a professor, his brother and a driver were attacked for being insurgents, there really is a fundamentally malignant cancer in the psychology of mindless persons.

Professor Ahmad was clearly an elderly man.

Have those vigilantes and the police observed actively armed Boko Haram men of that age?

The three men were very likely well dressed, as opposed to the rough appearance of members of Boko Haram.

Plus prior to an insurgent attack on a police station, the professor and his companions were seen repairing their vehicle which had broken down.

That is the devastation caused by a people who refuse to think.

Furthermore, latest assertions of the police was the attackers were not insurgents but armed robbers.

That increases the credibility of the convenience of a misconstruction of any violation of the law as a Boko Haram insurgency.

The only crime of Professor Ahmad Falaki and his co-travellers was that they were strangers.

No one in the vicinity knew them.

Interestingly, the Department Of State Security ~DSS/ SSS continue to advocate suspicion of any fresh face within the community.

I sincerely urge them to retrace that policy.
