Umm Sulaim's Thoughts

Thoughts Lead To Appreciation

LETTER TO MY IMPRISONED BROTHER 37

From Umm Sulaim, Allah’s slave-woman to Babar. Peace be on whoever follows Guidance.

Thereafter,

I returned home on the night of Sabt, a week after the commencement of Ramadhan. I was still weak … and exhausted. The latter is understandable bearing in mind that I spent a couple of hours of the evening swiftly browsing and attending to my mailbox.

I had to quickly leave the hospital – I was discharge on Khamis – to attend to my needs as there would be a 3-hr restriction on movement in the morning.

When would I join the rest? When would I share my people’s experience? When would I commence fasting?

My brother, always hope for the best and make preparations for it, though when and how you taste of it depends on your Creator. And, please, pardon the lateness of this letter: financial problems. Even if I am unable to contact you, I act in your interest to the best of my ability.

May Allah your Rabb and my Cherisher grant you the best. Aamiin!!

The recipient was Babar Ahmad.
