Umm Sulaim's Thoughts

Thoughts Lead To Appreciation

LETTER TO MY IMPRISONED BROTHER 28

From Umm Sulaim, Allah’s slave-woman to Babar. Peace be on whoever follows Guidance.

Thereafter,

Desperation, impatience, irritable, moody, etc used to be my attributes. That was, of course, in the days of Jahiliyyah (Ignorance), prior to my reversion and a few years afterwards.

A few days ago, a brother requested the Du’a (supplication) I used against the second quality. I chucked and asked him to simply beseech Allah to rid him of it.

Although I am still affected by my moods, ALHAMDULILLAH, it is not detrimental. The other three have no diminutive forms in ISLAM. One must not give up, flare up or lose one’s composure.

My brother, you still have a lot of work to do (to ensure you remain within limits).

May Allah keep you firm. Aamiin!!

The recipient was Babar Ahmad.
