Umm Sulaim's Thoughts

Thoughts Lead To Appreciation

LETTER TO MY IMPRISONED BROTHER 20

From Umm Sulaim, Allah’s slave-woman to Saajid. Peace be on whoever follows Guidance.

Thereafter,

I almost had my veil pulled off!! “If I pulled it off what will you do?” “That would be a declaration of war!” He stood up and marched towards me.

“Not a declaration of war! A declaration of peace!” “I want to know you!” “You will know me, but you will not see me!”

“But, you just said that you’d study in the white house if you had to?” “Yes! For a purpose! This is not such!”

I met the brother the previous day, four days ago at a function. I, eventually, had to flee. He was not accustomed to relating with ladies who do not unveil on request.

He appreciated that, declaring that I was stubborn, obstinate, recalcitrant …

My brother, you still have a lot of work to do.

May Allah keep you firm. Aamiin!!

The recipient was Saajid Badat.
