Umm Sulaim's Thoughts

Thoughts Lead To Appreciation

LETTER TO MY IMPRISONED BROTHER 17

From Umm Sulaim, Allah’s slave-woman to Sulaiman Al-Farsi. Peace be on whoever follows Guidance.

Thereafter,

My dear brother, I do get your name wrong. Please, pardon me.

Nevertheless, the encouragement of illiteracy is not a mere contempt for education. Some parents achieve that simply by failing to provide/ explore the means to accord their offsprings a lucid lifestyle. In some cases, they even expect the tutor to plead.

In areas with disproportionate backwardness, ignorance is not gender-sensitive. Whereas in some families, the men are respectable muslims and the women, an embarrassment. I am yet to ascertain the cause.

And, these women, like their mothers, are determined to neglect the rights of their children. The poor, helpless ones tread the steps of their parents. In two decades, the destination will be reached. Some one has to intercept and knock them off that path.

My brother, plan for fatherhood, for your children and their descendants ought to be excellent muslims.

May Allah make you devoid of apathy. Aamiin!!

The recipient was Sulaiman Al-Farsi whom I seem unable to recognise.
