Umm Sulaim's Thoughts

Thoughts Lead To Appreciation

LETTER TO MY IMPRISONED BROTHER 2

From Umm Sulaim, Allah’s slave-woman to Saajid. Peace be on whoever follows Guidance.

Thereafter,

Behind me my hands
The toes numb
The veiled countenance
A contemptible disguise

My household awaits
Unsheltered, vulnerable
The chief’s reassurance
But when, whence and how?

My brother, you are the head of your family. And your responsibility has not diminished despite your absence and affliction.

May Allah help you retain your pride as a man. Aamiin!!

The recipient was Saajid Badat.
