Thoughts Lead To Appreciation
I share the concerns of Nigerians over the resumption of schooling on Monday September 22, 2014 for primary and secondary school students.
It is best to keep young persons safe and away from public places.
My concern is a repeat of the question I asked in the aftermath of the Chibok abductions.
Why risk exposing children to danger when they have a lifetime to achieve education?
Personally, I would prefer the closure of tertiary institutions as well, until there is no further spread of the dreadful viral infection.
Yes, tertiary students are adults and more aware.
Persons currently infected are equally adults, as are those who deliberately infect others.
Not to mention that misconceptions on Ebola virus are propagated and internalized by adults.
There is absolutely no rush.
Let us stay alive and healthy first as a nation.
